Comic books and graphic novels are pretty much taking over the world. Not only are characters getting their own movies, but sequels, prequels, three-quels, TV shows and an unstoppable force of branded merchandise.

As comics invade nearly every other aspect of entertainment, it isn’t hard to imagine graphic novels spreading into other realms of publications. What if your favorite illustrated protagonist made his or her way onto a cover at the newsstand? How cool would it be if magazines featured superheroes instead of supermodels?
