Ten years ago today, Friends closed its door on the purple apartment and the gang sipped their last cup of coffee from Central Perk.

But like The Rembrandts said, they'll always be there for us — literally. There's usually a re-run playing on at least three different channels at any time of the day. Admit it, you still clap along with the theme song.

The iconic series made every Thursday evening an obvious choice to stay at home in the days before DVR and Hulu. Sure, some of the jokes may seem dated now, but the laughs they inspire remain timeless.
