BARCELONA — Following a pre-announcement last week, ZTE has launched a new flagship smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona: the Grand Memo II LTE.

The 6-inch device comes dangerously close to the phablet category, but makes up for its size with a very slim — only 7.2mm — body.

The Grand Memo 2 LTE has a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, a 13-megapixel camera on the rear as well as a (surprisingly powerful) 5-megapixel one on the front, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 3,200mAh battery and, obviously, LTE support.

It will become available in China in April, followed by launches in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.

The company also launched the Firefox OS 1.3-based ZTE Open C. It has a 1.2Ghz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 4-inch screen, 3-megapixel camera and HSPA+ support. It will be available in 6 colors.
