Toilet Fishing Banned at Winter Olympics

What's This?

Olympian fishing fans, don't pack your rods just yet.

As the Winter Olympics draw near, athletes are getting settled in Sochi before the opening ceremony on Feb. 7. Canadian snowboarder Sebastien Toutant tweeted this photo of the oddly specific rules for using bathrooms in Sochi. Most notably, officials frown on toilet fishing.

This may be the second strangest find in Sochi's Olympic bathrooms. The first is, of course, its too-close-for-comfort toilets.

Toutant's tweet caused a stir online as fans pondered the fishing rule and offered guesses as to the meaning behind the poster's last panel.

Bathroom shenanigans should be kept to a minimum, but it would seem that Olympic athletes have better things to do than go fishing in the bathroom plumbing. You know, like dominate in actual sporting events.
