The Red Viper and the Mountain Hug it Out in Real Life
What's This?
This post contains spoilers from Sunday's Game of Thrones episode "The Mountain and the Viper." Read at your own discretion.
Oberyn Martell met an eye-popping fate on Sunday's Game of Thrones at the Hulk-like hands of Sandor Clegane, but there seems to be no hard feelings between the dueling bros.
Pedro Pascal, the actor who plays the Red Viper, posted an image of himself palling around with Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, the man/giant who plays the Mountain, on Instagram. He captioned it "Buds."
Perhaps the caption should read, "Hey man, you gouged my eyes out and smashed my head in like a month-old Halloween jack-o-lantern, but we're all good." Or maybe he's waiting for a #TBT opp.
Regardless, we're glad to see that Oberyn isn't one to hold a grudge in the afterlife.
The image proves just how difficult a task the Red Viper faced against the Mountain, who is 6'9", 419 lbs and is literally one of the strongest men in the world.
It also seems that Instagram was screaming spoilers at us from way back in April, when Lena Headey, the actress who plays Cersei Lannister, posted a pic on her account of her pretending to gouge out Pascal's eyes.
This dude just can't catch a break.
