The category of "most hilarious fire safety sign" is rather limited, but we just found our No. 1 candidate on the list of options.


Vivian Schiller started at Twitter as the company's new head of news on Wednesday. While getting the lay of the land, she tweeted this picture of a sign in the company's New York City office:



As Slate points out, emergency services are actually part of Twitter's heritage; the company was originally conceived to relay information about earthquakes and other disasters in real time.


The warning also holds some truth. In emergency situations these days, some people battle an impulse to record the event for posterity. In one recent example, passengers on a flight from Singapore to London that made an emergency landing in Azerbaijan posted oxygen-masked selfies on the social network.
