Friday marks the start of the Chinese New Year, meaning the year's presiding animal zodiac is no longer the snake, but now the horse. The Chinese zodiac is a 12-year cycle that associates each year with an animal; if you are born in a given year, you take on the attributes of that year's animal. People born in the year of the horse are communicative attention-seekers and go-getters. They tend to be quick-witted, kind and extremely grounded — sometimes coming off as stubborn.
