Weather App Brings Grumpy Cat to Your Daily Forecast

It's going to be cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms today, and Grumpy Cat is pretty pleased about that — at least in this new app.

Released Monday, Weather Kitty provides feline lovers with a cute and unique way to get weather reports. It displays photos of adorable kittens — including the notoriously crabby Tardar Sauce — alongside the temperature. What's more, the images change to coincide with the time of day and outdoor conditions.

Cat owners can even upload pics of their own pet to appear within the app.

Weather Kitty is the follow-up to Weather Puppy, both of which were created by Shiv Takhar and Suraj Hemnani. The duo quickly realized that while puppies make cheerful weather forecasters, cats reign supreme.

“Cats rule the internet, so it was a logical and fun progression," Takhar said. "Though our friends joke that we might have taken the expression ‘it’s raining cats and dogs’ a little too seriously.”

Weather Kitty is now available for free in the App Store.
