15 Celebrity Memoirs We Can't Wait to Read
What's This?
What do Joan Rivers and Ja Rule have in common?
They both love to drop f-bombs on stage, sure. But now, they can add one more thing to the list: a celebrity memoir.
A-listers and Dancing With the Stars-listers alike are all scrambling to share their life stories with the world. For forgotten celebrities fumbling back toward relevancy, it'll be their shot at redemption. For those who never left the limelight, it'll be a way of sharing another part of themselves the public hasn't seen.
Two of the most buzz-y memoirs among the pack are Lena Dunham's Not That Kind of Girl and Amy Poehler's Yes Please, to be released in September and October, respectively.
Dunham's memoir resulted in a bidding war and, eventually, a $3.7 million deal with Random House. HarperCollins (It Books) picked up Poehler's memoir and recently released the very-'80s book cover, which has already sparked a lot of excitement.
The others? Well, you may have forgotten who they are — or what band or television show they were in — but they seem to have a lot of wisdom to share with the world nonetheless.
Here are a handful of celebrity memoirs to keep your eyes peeled for in the upcoming months.
