New Photos Show Turkish Government Official Kicking Man at Mine Protest

An aide to Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed it's him in photos that show a man kicking a protester at the site of the Turkish mine disaster in Soma.
Yusuf Yerkel is expected to issue a statement on Thursday, BBC Turk reports, after photos of a man wearing a grey suit was caught kicking a fallen protester.
The Associated Press has three new photos that show the incident.

In them, Yerkel can be seen staring at the man on the ground with his leg poised in what seems to be a kicking motion.
Yerkel has yet to confirm he was indeed kicking the man — although the evidence appears to be damning.
Nearly 300 are dead in the mine collapse — a death toll that's expected to rise — and Turks across the country are protesting the government for negligence over its mining industry
