Chris Hadfield Is Removing His 'Space Oddity' Video From YouTube Today
What's This?
It was the video that made him famous, but now it has to come down.
Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield is pulling his "Space Oddity" video from YouTube on Tuesday.
The video, which has more than 22 million views, was uploaded on May 12, 2013, and Hadfield only had permission to run it for one year.
In the video, Hadfield, who was living on board the International Space Station at the time, strums his guitar as he belts the David Bowie lyrics while floating around in zero gravity.

"Space Oddity" was truly the launch of Hadfield's stardom, which only grew when he returned to Earth. The Canadian commander has since written a book and now tours the world, speaking about what it's like to live in space. He also performs "Space Oddity" here on Earth every now and then.
RIP Space Oddity.

While we'll never see the full HD version in all its glory after today, we'll always have the remix...
And the Earth version...
