Great moms are, in many ways, superheroes. They bring us into the world, take care of us, love us and teach us how to be good people.

This Mother's Day, salute your mom and these other moms who make being badass look easy.

From big-name stars like Beyonce to everyday heroes like Cheryl Anderson and Angela Cavallo, here are 25 moms who are doing it right.

1. Angelina Jolie

On the list of badass celebrities, Jolie will always be at the top. She flies planes, rides motorcycles and is covered in tattoos, in addition to being an Oscar-winning movie star with loads of action films under her belt. But she's also a super mom, with three biological children and three adopted children from Vietnam, Cambodia and Ethiopia.

2. Valeh Levy

This mom saved her 15-year-old daughter from being eaten by a shark while surfing in Florida. Mom, shark and surfing all in one sentence? That equals a badass.

3. Angela Cavallo

You know those stories you hear in which adrenaline makes people super strong? In 1982, Angela Cavallo (who was in her late 50s) was at home with her son, who was working on his 1964 Chevy Impala in the driveway. But the car collapsed, pinning her son underneath it. Cavallo rushed out to help him and, in a rush of adrenaline and hysterical strength, lifted the car long enough for neighbors to come and help pull him out.

4. Beyoncé

Beyoncé was a superstar before she gave birth to baby Blue Ivy in 2012. But she laid low, preparing for an impressive comeback. She performed at the Super Bowl, sang the National Anthem at the presidential inauguration and released one of the most talked-about albums of 2013.

5. The Facebook mom

A Utah mom, who preferred to stay anonymous, saved her son's life by doing the one thing he'd hate: checking his Facebook page. She found comments from two teenage boys who were threatening to shoot her son and immediately alerted the authorities. The boys were later found outside of the school, and police said they had a gun, a loaded magazine, marijuana and a bong.

6. Mindy Tran

This 22-year-old mom put her twin daughters in a stationary car, when all of a sudden it started rolling backward. Tran used herself as a human speed bump in order to slow the car down so it wouldn't roll into traffic. She got a broken leg and dislocated shoulder and hip, but her twins were safe and sound.

7. Angie Keiser

Angie Keiser takes dress up to the next level. She started a blog called Fashion by Mayhem (her daughter's nickname) on which the duo creates outlandishly fun outfits that only a child could dream up.

8. Colin's mom

On Feb. 2, 2014, a mom named Jennifer wanted to surprise her son Colin for his 11th birthday. She created a secret Facebook page for him, sharing that she wanted to do something special because her son lived with disabilities and was always alone at school because the other kids didn't like him. The page went viral, with over 2.2 million likes and an outpouring of birthday wishes from all over the world.

12. The Nairobi mall mom

In 2014, photographer Tyler Hicks won a Pulitzer Prize for taking this photograph of a woman protecting her kids during the 2013 terrorist attack on the Westgate Mall in Kenya. More than 65 people were killed, but the mother and her two children stayed alive, laying still for five hours. 23. Minna Wilson

It has to be tough to have a son who's a boxer. That was clearly the case for Minna Wilson, whose son Tony Wilson was in the ring getting cornered by opponent Steve McCarthy.
