Record of the Year is one of the most coveted Grammy awards, honoring the best performance and production of a song. This award is different from Song of the Year, which awards a track's songwriters.
Two-time Grammy winners Daft Punk look to add to their collection with "Get Lucky," which Mashable readers voted the best song of 2013. This would be Bruno Mars' first Record of the Year award, although this is his third nomination. This will be the first Grammy awards for Lorde, Imagine Dragons and Robin Thicke. All of their songs were widely popular throughout the year, with "Royals" and "Blurred Lines" each boasting at least nine weeks at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
