HBO's on-demand streaming service HBO Go will soon be available for PlayStation 3, with PlayStation 4 to follow, the company has announced.

The PlayStation HBO Go app will give consumers unlimited, on-demand access to HBO shows, including Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones.

Every episode of every season of HBO's "best shows" will be on offer, together with movies, sports, documentaries, comedy specials and behind-the-scenes extras.

HBO hasn't revealed the exact date of availability for either app.
