Today, we're looking at three particularly interesting stories. Twitter has a new bird in town: Event Parrot. If you follow the account @eventparrot, it will send you direct messages about breaking news around the globe. T-Mobile announced that customers of its Simple Choice plan can text and surf the web for free in more than 100 countries. And Acer launched a new Haswell-powered Chromebook called the C720.
