Rdio Launches Free Music Streaming for iOS and Android
What's This?

Rdio will today launch a free music streaming service for iOS and Android devices in the U.S., Canada and Australia, the Associated Press reports.
The service, called Stations, is fully ad-free and provides a radio-style stream of music based on a certain artist, album, song or genre.
Rdio has offered free music streaming since January 2013; however, it was so far available only through the web or Rdio's Mac and Windows desktop apps.
To be able to offer free mobile music streaming, Rdio has partnered up with radio station owner Cumulus Media. The company hopes that those wanting more music will subscribe to Rdio for $10 a month and access its vault of more than 20 million songs.
With the move, Rdio follows in the footsteps of services such as Pandora, which recently lifted its 40-hour cap on free mobile streaming.
