'Fifty Shades of Grey' Reveals Who Will Play Christian and Anastasia

Fifty Shades of Grey author E. L. James used Twitter on Monday to announce who will play the film adaptation's lead roles. Ending months of rumors, James revealed Dakota Johnson will take on Anastasia Steele and Charlie Hunnam will be young billionaire Christian Grey.

Hunnam, most recently starring in science-fiction flick Pacific Rim, is likely most known for potraying protagonist Jax Teller in the TV series Sons of Anarchy. The 33-year-old also had roles in Children of Men, Green Street Hooligans, Queer as Folk and Undeclared.

Johnson, the 23-year-old who made a cameo in The Office finale as Kevin's replacement, starred in Fox's comedy Ben & Kate. She also had roles in Crazy in Alabama, 21 Jump Street, The Social Network and The Five-Year Engagement.

The Fifty Shades trilogy centers on Christian's kinky relationship with recent college graduate Anastasia. Christian requires Anastasia to sign a sexual contract, and the two routinely engage in acts such as bondage.
