Labor Day comes the first Monday of September each year in the U.S. to celebrate the American workforce, though most people spend it enjoying the last unofficial weekend of summer. And some workers are treated to a day off, which is always a plus.

Kick back and indulge with these songs to take your mind off that 9-to-5 grind, as Music Monday celebrates Labor Day this week. Start off the long weekend by reveling in your boosted bank accounts because it's Friday night and you and 'N Sync "Just Got Paid."

We also took a tip from Ferris Bueller's Day Off — you'll hear "Oh Yeah" by Yello and "Taking the Day Off" by General Public, which were both famously featured in the iconic film about the coolest high schooler to ever not exist.

One-hit wonders Loverboy had everyone dreaming for those precious two days out of the office with "Working for the Weekend," which manages to straddle the ambiguous employment line of songs about working and about not working.
