NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain was an astonishingly large man, standing more than 7 feet tall, and weighing in at over 270 pounds. But he was also an even more astonishingly large fourth-grader.
We know this for certain thanks to the always-interesting Andy Gray, who mans the @si_vault Twitter account, and constantly shares a stream of remarkable sports photos from venerable print publication Sports Illustrated 's extensive archives. Check out this post from Wednesday, which he tweeted to commemorate what would have been the aptly nicknamed Wilt the Stilt's 77th birthday:
Gray recently shared another excellent retro NBA photo, which proved a current star's basketball-playing dad once bore a striking resemblance to one Ron Burgundy.
