Welcome to this morning's edition of "First To Know," a series in which we keep you in the know on what's happening in the digital world.

Today, we're looking at three particularly interesting stories. Apple hit the 1 billion podcast subscriptions milestone. In patent news, according to Bloomberg, Google and Amazon won a case against Michael Doyle, who claimed many major Internet companies infringed on his patents. Finally, the reviews are in, and the Leap Motion controller is cool, but not all that intuitive — at least, not yet.
