Verizon has sent Netflix a cease-and-desist letter over an error message Netflix displayed to users this week charging that the service could not be accessed because Verizon's network was having connection problems.

Neither Netflix nor Verizon could be reached for immediate comment. The news was first reported by CNBC. "There is no basis for Netflix to assert that issues with respect to playback of any particular video session are attributable solely to the Verizon network," reads the letter, according to CNBC.
