Police: Injuries Reported, Suspect Dead in Oregon High School Shooting

Police say there are injuries from a shooting at Reynolds High School outside of Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday, and the shooter is dead.
No other deaths were reported.
The shooting happened at 8:07 a.m. local time while classes were in session, a police spokeswoman told CNN. State Police Lt. Greg Hastings confirmed that there were no fatalities to the news app Circa.
According to a news release from Multomah County Sheriff’s Office:
At 8:07 a.m. this morning, police responded to Reynolds High School on the report of shots fired at the school. Multiple agencies responded and tactical teams are currently evacuating students and staff. The situation is stabilized, the shooter is confirmed deceased.
"The area is secure, and the situation is contained. No deaths," police said.
Police told Good Day Oregon’s Kate Cagle that the shooter was dressed in all black, wearing a vest and a helmet, and carrying an assault rifle. The shooter was reportedly cornered in a bathroom by responding officers.
The shooter has not been identified. The circumstances of the suspect's death remain unclear.
"The situation is stabilized, the shooter is confirmed deceased," police say.
This is the 74th school shooting since the tragic assault on Newtown Elementary School in December 2012.
