The Twitter account of Neil Young appears to have been hacked Friday night.

Whoever hijacked Young's verified account (@Neilyoung) tweeted various pornographic images, many of them retweets from the account of a prominent porn site. The hacker also sent out several expletive-laden tweets, adding the hashtag #neilslayed to some of them, apparently to draw attention to the hack.

One tweet from the account said it had been hacked, but that the situation had been "taken care of." However, many of the questionable tweets came after the tweet, which posted at 11:28 p.m. ET.

Representatives for Young and Twitter didn't immediately respond for a request for comment.
