Do you like the features and the form factor of the HTC One M8, but you're not really feeling the metallic case? If so, HTC's new smartphone, the HTC One E8, might be a good fit for you.

Just like the M8, the E8 is a 5-inch phone with a Snapdragon 801 processor, BoomSound stereo speakers and HTC's Sense 6 UI. However, it has a polycarbonate, slightly curved unibody case, available in four colors: white, red, blue and grey.

Though their specs are similar, there are several other differences between the two devices. The HTC One E8's rear camera is a fairly standard 13-megapixel shooter, replacing the UltraPixel camera from the HTC One M8; the E8 also lacks the secondary depth camera.

The E8 introduces a few features of its own, including dual-SIM capability and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera which should be "perfect" for capturing selfies.

The HTC E8 will hit "selected markets" from early June. The price has not been revealed (Update: Engadget reports the device will cost $450 unsubsidized in China, roughly half the price of the HTC One M8).
