'Brady Bunch' Star Ann B. Davis Dies at 88 After Tragic Accident

Emmy-winning actress Ann B. Davis, who was best known for her role as housekeeper Alice Nelson in the family sitcom The Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1974, reportedly died Sunday after falling in her Texas home.


Davis injured her head during a fall in her bathroom, reports TMZ , which broke the news Sunday, adding that Davis "never regained consciousness" after the accident. CNN confirmed the news shortly after the initial report.


Prior to playing Alice on The Brady Bunch (91 episodes of the show recently became available on Hulu Plus), Davis won two Emmys during her stint as secretary Charmaine Schultz on The Bob Cummings Show.
