Virginia Festival Hot Air Balloon Catches Fire and Crashes

NBC News is reporting that one or two hot air balloons at a Virginia hot air balloon festival caught fire and crashed shortly before 8PM ET.

According to Central Virginia CBS local news station Channel 6, the balloon or balloons may have drifted into nearby power lines in Doswell, Virginia, before catching fire.

Numerous reports on social media note that rescue crews are rushing to the scene. It's unknown the number of peopel on board or if there are injuries.

However, Channel 8 news in the same reason reported that people may have been seen jumping from the burning balloon.
