Thanks, Twitter! Texas Teen Takes NFL Cheerleader to Prom
What's This?

Texas teenager Mike Ramirez took an NFL cheerleader to his senior prom on Saturday night, thanks to a very special wingman: Twitter.
It started with a direct message, grew into a retweet challenge and ended with a night neither Ramirez nor a Houston Texans cheerleader named Caitlyn will soon forget.
Ramirez is a 17-year-old high-school football offensive lineman from Crosby, Texas. Back in late February, he tweeted the following screenshot of a Twitter conversation — emoji-laden, of course — he had with Caitlyn (whose last name hasn't been revealed), and implored the Internet to retweet madly:
Ramirez's post got the requisite number of retweets in about a day, according to media reports at the time, and Caitlyn kept her word. On Saturday, the big night finally arrived, and in true 2014 fashion, it was well-documented on social media.
First, Ramirez took this pre-prom selfie with his bros:
And Caitlyn posted one of her own from the limo that took her to meet Ramirez and his friends for dinner before the big dance:
But Caitlyn didn't go it alone:
Then Caitlyn and Ramirez met for the first time, and performed the ol' corsage-for-boutonnière exchange:
Ramirez looked like a pretty happy guy at dinner:
FInally, it was time for the actual prom:
Just look at that cute couple:
There was even a photo booth:
And it seems safe to say that Ramirez and Caitlyn had a pretty swell time together:
I mean, Caitlyn was still glowing on Sunday morning:
Prom, an NFL cheerleader and a teenage Twitter stunt — who better to sum up this slice of Americana than a Las Vegas realtor?
