Kids Explain How Dreaming Works

Dreaming has always been elusive — fun to think about, impossible to remember, difficult to define.


As a part of WNYC's Clock Your Sleep project, the public radio station interviewed several 7- and 8-year-olds to learn what kids dreamed about, and how they interpret the mysterious concept of dreaming.



"It's sort of like sleepwalking, but you're sort of like awake, but you're making like a story with pictures in your head," one child says in the video, above.


Now if that's not the most precise, scientific description of what happens, then we don't know what is.
