The most-publicized wedding event of this year has finally happened: Reality-television personality Kim Kardashian married rapper Kanye West on Saturday.

The high-profile pair wed at Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy, according to People .

The ceremony was reportedly conducted by pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. of North Miami. Despite the groom's hip-hop background, music for the ceremony was provided by famed Italian singer-songwriter Andrea Bocelli.

Although most media were barred from the private event, photographers did manage to capture images of the couple and some of their celebrity guests in the run-up to the ceremony. Check them out, below:
