Orange Is the New Black 's sophomore season will begin with a seemingly delusional Piper Chapman in solitary confinement, facing punishment for pummeling fellow prison inmate Pennsatucky in the first season's finale. That scene, below, has arrived online.

The opening sequence, which debuted Wednesday on Entertainment Weekly, gives fans a sneak peek well before Netflix will premiere season two's 13 episodes on June 6.

The show's creator Jenji Kohan told EW the new season will be "a little darker, a little more fractured," admitting that season one was "getting a little summer-campy."

Orange Is the New Black ended 2013 as Netflix's most-watched original series ever, and Taylor Schilling's portrayal of imprisoned lead character Piper earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in Drama, though she lost to Robin Wright of House of Cards.

Schilling and Matt McGorry, who plays a prison guard, both previously told Mashable that they're hopeful of season one's chances of earning Emmy nods 2014. The comedy-drama series' first season, which launched only on Netflix in July to rave reviews and early streaming success, narrowly missed the Emmy nominations cutoff date in 2013.

Earlier this month, Netflix released the season two trailer, jam-packed with the prison's rowdy occupants, including new menacing character Yvonne "Vee" Parker, played by Lorraine Toussaint, who will scheme to turn fresh alliances against each other.
