There are reports of a shooting at Fort Hood military base in Killeen, Texas — the sight of a November 2009 mass murder that claimed 13 lives.


The shooter is at large. There are reportedly several injuries from the shooting.


Local TV channel KCEN reports:



We have reports of an active shooter on Fort Hood. We have reports that there are several injuries from this shooting. There is at least one patient being transported to the hospital.


The suspect is still at large.


The shooter is said to be in building 33026 which is the Medical Brigade Building.



The shooting reportedly occured at a medical building on the base.


It comes one day after Fox News reported the FBI, and military were looking for an ex-Army recruit that is suspected of plotting "Ft. Hood-inspired jihad," in reference to the 2009 shooting. There have been no confirmed reports tying the suspected recruit to today's alleged shooting.
