It's been a good week for Seth Meyers.
Just hours after being named as one of Time's "100 Most Influential People," NBC announced Meyers as the host for this year's Emmys.
Meyers took over Late Night two months ago, following in the footsteps of actor Neil Patrick Harris, who hosted last year's broadcast.
While Meyers has never hosted a major awards show, he has previously hosted both the ESPYs and the White House Correspondents Dinner. And let's not forget Meyers' time anchoring Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update."
With his pals Amy Poehler and Tina Fey hosting the Golden Globes, looks like SNL is taking over the award show circuit. Taran Killam to host the Oscars, anyone?
The 66th Primetime Emmys will air on August 25.
