While gearing up for the premiere of Muppets Most Wanted this weekend, we thought back on all the truly bizarre TV specials that have aired over the years.

You don't usually think of "sex and violence" when you hear Kermit the Frog's name, but that was indeed the title of a special back in 1975. Other specials feature Mia Farrow, Robert Downey Jr. and a pre-twerking Miley Cyrus.
