Apple has acquired Burstly, the maker of app management and analytics platforms that have become popular among developers.

The news, first reported by TechCrunch and confirmed by Re/code , brings one of the most widely used independent app testing platforms inside of the Apple ecosystem.

Burstly owns TestFlight, an iOS service that allows programmers to release and manage beta software to a limited audience. TestFlight also collects data on usage as well as bugs, which is then passed along to an app's developers. It also created app ad management platform SkyRocket.

The terms of the deal remain unknown. Public acknowledgment of the deal comes just two days after TestFlight said it would no longer offer Android support starting on March 21.
