Even NBA Players Are Crippled by FOMO

Of course you know the feeling. You're enjoying a quiet night ... until you decide to fire up your Facebook or Instagram app for a quick digital hit. There, backlit before you, are several of your good friends. Or, at least you thought they were your friends until you saw them on your little screen doing fun things to which you were apparently not invited.

But FOMO (that's Fear of Missing Out, for the uninitiated) doesn't just affect the plebeians of our social media age — even multimillionaire celebrity NBA players get their feelings hurt by being left out.

Hasheem Thabeet of the Oklahoma City Thunder posted this shot to Instagram earlier this week. It shows himself and several teammates (including Kevin Durant there on the far right) enjoying some bro time. Note the absence of Kendrick Perkins, who starts at center ahead of Thabeet in the OKC lineup, and then note the comment he left below (language in Perkins' comment is NSFW).

A quick visit to Perkins' Instagram profile reveals this bio: "I'm a loyal and real man. Can't say the same about everybody else."
