Canadian Rockies Disappear in This Beautifully Foggy Time-Lapse

When Canadian photographer Richard Gottardo learned that an Arctic air was going to dump mass amounts of snow over southern Alberta, he set out on a journey to document it.

This stunning time-lapse of fog moving over the Canadian Rockies was made from two days of shooting.

Gottardo, a self-proclaimed "storm chaser," writes in the video's description that he headed for Jasper National Park in Alberta, knowing that conditions would be prime for heavy fog in the mountains. During his travels, he covered over 1,000 kilometers and snapped 3,300 photos before stringing them together into a video titled into the fog.

"I have to say, shooting this video was a bit easier than some of my other outings to the mountains," Gottardo told Mashable, adding that he "actually stayed in a hotel instead of a tent!" He also noted that despite the hours upon hours spent driving through the mountains to create this video, the scenery was spectacular.
