Amazon Drops Kindle Fire Prices for Cyber Monday
What's This?
Although Black Friday has a reputation as a launch pad for some of the most aggressive deals offered by major stores and brands, in recent years Cyber Monday has also shaped up as a choice time to find a deal. Keying in on this trend, Amazon has announced major price cuts on two of its flagship hardware products, the Kindle Fire HD and the Kindle Fire HDX.
The deal, which went live at 5 p.m. PST on Sunday, drops the price of the 16GB Kindle Fire HD 7-inch from $169 to $119, and cuts the price of the Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch from $229 to $179.
Another recently announced tablet deal of note offered direct from the manufacturer comes from Samsung. The price of the company's 10-inch Galaxy Note has been dropped from $599 to $549 for the 32GB version and $549 to $499 for the 16GB version.
For those who have been on the fence as to which tablet they’ll start the new year with, these major price reductions for Cyber Monday will likely make the prospect of trying out a tablet that isn't the iPad a lot more attractive.
