Miley Cyrus may fancy herself the queen of twerking, but Sofia Vergara wants her to recognize who really perfected the fine art of backing-up that booty.
The Modern Family actress posted the jab at the pop star on her Instagram account following Sunday night's Emmys, where Vergara's show won for Best Comedy Series. The caption reads: "Miley cyrus this is where the twerk was invented. Colombia!"
Cyrus' dance moves were also a big part of the Emmy's opening sketch, with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler begging host Neil Patrick Harris to twerk. Cyrus is also scheduled to host Saturday Night Live on Oct. 5. When asked if Cyrus will twerk on the show, SNL director Don Roy King told Mashable, "I hope so."
She better get some lessons from Vergara first.
