7 Year Old Dreams of Mars, So NASA Sent Him This

Seven-year-old Dexter wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. So, he did what any proactive kid with an out-of-this-world dream should do: He wrote a letter to his future employer.

In his note to NASA, Dexter lamented the fact he's too young for a trip to the Red Planet. "Dear NASA," Dexter wrote. "I heard that you are sending two people to Mars and I would lik [sic] to come but im 7.50."

NASA's Office of Communications — which regularly replies to cute letters from kids — sent Dexter a note encouraging him to pursue his space dreams. Enclosed in the package was also more information about Mars, all of which Dexter's mom posted to Reddit.
