An iPhone 5S PSA From Your Finger
What's This?
Apple's iPhone 5S boasts a Touch ID fingerprint scanner that uses the ridges and pores of a finger (or other body parts, including nipples and lips) to identify a phone's user and unlock the home screen.
While some felt the technology was state-of-the-art, others quickly found ways to hack the scanner, and claimed it was a problematic security feature.
But is the fingerprint scanner really that much more vulnerable than other lock-screen tech?
In this Sunday comic, Nitrozac and Snaggy of The Joy of Tech defend the iPhone's fingerprint-scanner technology against skeptics and critics.
