Scout the Dog Wins Over Tumblr With Balancing Act

As the weather chills, dog owners outfit their furry friends in adorable tiny sweaters or even festive pooch-size antlers. But a dog named Scout favors less conventional accessories — like Slinkies and cheese.

Scout stars on his own Tumblr, Stuff on Scout's Head, created by his human pal Jen Gillen, who got the idea after a friend suggested balancing a toilet paper role on the dog's head.

"I guess I just continued pushing my limits," Gillen said to explain the expanding collection of items perched atop Scout's head, such as doughnuts, board games and a laptop.

While Scout's fans get to enjoy his adorable pictures, Gillen points out that he gets something out of them too. "There are no shortage of his own treats after each picture!"
